Video: Porch Pirates Caught On Cam Before Wrong-Way Crash In Westchester

A pair of porch pirates who were caught on camera stealing newly delivered packages were caught on camera before being involved in a wrong-way crash, striking several parked cars in Westchester, police said.

Claude Burnett, 22, of the Bronx, and his 17-year-old accomplice were caught stealing packages from several Yonkers homes over the past month, police said. In several doorbell cameras showed Burnett in a hooded sweatshirt picking up packages and running off.

According to police, Burnett was apprehended on Central Park Avenue on Wednesday, Dec. 11, though in their attempt to get away, Burnett drove the wrong way on the busy roadway, striking six cars along the way.

Three officers suffered minor injuries during the pursuit. Burnett was charged with larceny, reckless endangerment and reckless driving, officials said. Check Daily Voice for updates.
